Western Washington Food Systems Partnership Website is Live

Northwest Agriculture Business Center (NABC) was awarded a USDA Regional Food Systems Partnership Grant in September of 2020 and is putting that funding to work, along with other resources, to develop and support a network of entities across a 12-county region of Western Washington, called the Western Washington Food Systems Partnership (WWFSP).

A Steering Committee, made up of a broad and diverse group of stakeholders, is working to address needed food system infrastructure, increase food access, and provide technical assistance throughout the region. This effort is rooted in a shared understanding that the success of our food system depends on caring for and preserving the health of land and water, engaged communities, and diverse farm and food economies. While the funding NABC received is for three years, NABC is committed to developing an organizational structure with the collective strength and vision to carry WWFSP’s work forward for years to come.

In order to carry out the commitment WWFSP has developed a new website full of resources for food systems professionals, food access organizations, producers, and more. The WWFSP website is now live! The site provides a farm to foodbank toolkit, highlights WWFSP’s project accelerator and Washington Food Hub Network work, and features a robust library of food systems resources including annotated articles, the Lunch & Learn library, and a Washington State Food Systems Organization Directory.
