As part of our farm community you'll feel a sense of place, eating what Whidbey Island can offer, while developing your palette and noticing flavors in vegetables that don't ship across the country, or wait for you on grocery shelves. Regular newsletters will offer news and recipes to keep you informed and adept in the kitchen. Opportunities to visit (and volunteer in) the fields offer a chance to connect with your farmers and deepen your awareness of land, food and self.
We've created our share size for couples or small families who cook with vegetables often. We focus on providing a steady and abundant supply of the favorite vegetables like lettuce, carrots, onions and tomatoes while offering a rotating sampling of specialty crops such as arugula, fennel, parsnips, and bok-choi. The vegetables offered in this year's share include lettuce, green beans, broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, carrots, chard, onions, leeks, cucumbers, summer and winter squash, fennel, kale, bokchoi, beets, arugula, oriental greens, parsnips, peas, cauliflower, potatoes, rutabagas, spinach, brussel sprouts, cabbage, turnips, basil, cilantro, parsley, radishes, and more!
We strive to offer good value with our produce and our share price of $450 is 20% below its retail value. Payment plan options are available. Several pick-up sites (to be announced) will serve members from Oak Harbor through South Whidbey. To sign up, please fill out the following:

Sebastian Aguilar from Port Townsend has been hired as the new Training Center Coordinator for 2010. He and his wife Kelly have three children and have managed farms in New Mexico, Wisconsin and Washington State. Sebastian's passions for top-quality produce, healthy soils, biodynamics and social outreach guide his farming practices. Sebastian has hosted apprentices on his farms for the past 10 years and always provided them with a weekly afternoon 'farm school' exploring the concepts behind the practical work. On the Aguilar's farm in Port Townsend, they used minimum tillage, cover cropping, compost, and biodynamic preparations to build and maintain healthy soils. They sold produce through the Port Townsend Food Coop, three farmers markets, and a CSA program as well as grew variety trials for the Organic Seed Alliance.
