Puget Sound Food Hub Hires Sales Account Manager Mark Whims

A new team member has joined the Puget Sound Food Hub Cooperative: Sales Account Manager Mark Whims.  Mark has over 20 years of value-added food service experience working with strong local brands Wilcox Farms and Starbucks Coffee Company.  His long-standing connections to key regional buyers, brokers and distributors will help drive the Food Hub’s aggressive near-term growth strategy.  Mark will focus his energies on building connections between the cooperative’s farmer owners and volume buyers in King County and outlying areas to help move more locally grown food into the regional foodshed. Originally from Seattle but now a long-time resident of Camano Island, Mark has built a strong network in King County that includes liaisons with the retail, college and university, business and industry sectors. These relationships, along with his ample experience with value-added products and interest in local purchasing and production will greatly contribute to the Food Hub’s efforts of expanding its market and increasing sales.
