Skagit Farm Flood Relief Program

Program Purpose

Skagit Community Foundation and NABC, in collaboration with Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland and other agencies, created a flood relief program to assist agricultural producers with unmitigated flood and storm damage incurred in December 2025. Awards up to $10,000 are available to cover farm losses not covered by insurance or Federal/State programs.

Narrative Questions

Who Is Eligible to Apply

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Operate a farm or ranch located in Skagit County
  • Have been in continuous operation for at least one (1) year before December 2025
  • Have an annual gross farm or ranch income exceeding $10,000
  • Demonstrate financial or operational need resulting from the December 2025 flood, storm, or landslide event

Allowable Use of Award Funds

Award funds may be used only for expenses that:

  • Are directly related to damage caused by the December 2025 flood, storm, or landslide
  • Would not have occurred without the disaster event
  • Are not covered by insurance, disaster assistance, or other grant funding

Award & Administrative Requirements

  • Award funds will be awarded only to eligible farms and ranches located in Skagit County
  • Successful applicants must submit a completed W-9 before receiving funds
