NABC and Washington State University Extension will co-host a value-added product development course for farmers in Northwest Washington. This intensive, year-long training program will guide each of the thirty-six participants through business and marketing plan development, product evaluation, on-farm progress assessments, and initial production of a new product. Eligible products include food crops, greenhouse, nursery, livestock and poultry. The course is partially funded by USDA/ Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES), and is offered at no charge to enrollees. The deadline for applications is September 30.
